The Shaftesbury Friends of York House – a group of local supporters and fundraisers – brought in family, friends and local residents for a community fayre, to raise funds for Shaftesbury’s York House.
Running from 1pm – 4pm on Saturday 24th June, around 300 people from the local community visited the fayre over the course of the day.
There was not a shortage of activities for visitors with the fayre including over 15 craft stalls, a bouncy castle, BBQs, a rodeo bull, live dance and entertainment, and lots more.
Susan Batty, who lives at Shaftesbury’s York House said:
‘What a great day. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the entertainment was brilliant!’
The fayre exceeded everyone’s expectations, raising a total of over £2,400 for the work of Shaftesbury.
