Shaftesbury North Wales celebrates inspection success

Shaftesbury’s North Wales service has been rated ‘Good’ across all three inspection areas, following a recent inspection by Care Inspectorate Wales.

The service provides independent living services for people with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health support needs, and autistic people.

The inspection found the service:

  • cares effectively for the wellbeing of the people it supports
  • puts them at the centre of decisions about their lives and care
  • consistently considers their communication needs
  • is well-led and staffed by a creative, flexible, and dedicated team

One of the comments from people who are supported by the service was:

They help me if I am feeling worried, I trust them. They help me to do things I need to do, like tidying and cleaning, but do fun things with me too.’

Jane Percy, Shaftesbury’s Director of Care Operations, said: ‘This is a very positive inspection result for Shaftesbury North Wales. It’s a testament to the hard work and commitment of the whole team there, and I was delighted to read some of the wonderful things the people we support said about the service and the team.’
