By signing up for Shaftesbury’s Grow5 Challenge, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
1.Eligibility
The Grow5 Challenge is open to all schools. The Challenge is open to students of all ages in participating schools. Schools can decide whether to run the challenge as a whole class project or in smaller groups. Shaftesbury reserves the right to disqualify any participants that are in breach of any of these Terms and Conditions. Applications must be made via Shaftesbury’s website – insert link.
2.Finance
If an application is approved Shaftesbury will supply the school with the seed money following sign up to the Grow5 Challenge via the charity website, within 5-10 working days after approval . This ‘seed money’ will arrive via BACs to the bank account that you have specified in your application. Shaftesbury accepts no responsibility for the provision of incorrect bank account details. Once you have completed your fundraising activity, funds raised should be collected and sent to Shaftesbury within one month of the end of the challenge. If you are unable to participate in the Challenge for any reason after you have received the seed money from the charity, you must notify us within one month in writing to fundraising@shaftesburygroup.org and return this money to Shaftesbury within one month of the date of this notification.
3.The Challenge
The goal of the Grow5 Challenge is to use the £5 seed money provided by Shaftesbury in creative ways to raise as much money as possible for Shaftesbury. There are no specific guidelines on how to participate, but all activities must comply with relevant laws, including safeguarding requirements, and be organised to ensure the health and safety of all participants. Activities must not damage the reputation of Shaftesbury or any associated schools. Gambling of any kind is prohibited.
4.Safety and Responsibility
Participants are responsible for ensuring that any fundraising activities undertaken as part of the Grow5 Challenge are conducted safely and do not put themselves or others at risk. Shaftesbury will not be held responsible for any injuries, accidents, harm, loss or damage arising from the participation in the challenge whether directly or indirectly.
5.Use of Funds
Money raised by your school’s participation in the Challenge, will go towards supporting its services, including residential care, supported living, special needs education and acquired brain injury rehabilitation programs.
6.Marketing and Publicity
We may seek your permission to allow Shaftesbury to share your fundraising stories, images, and achievements on our website, social media channels, and marketing materials.
7.Personal Data
Shaftesbury will process your personal data in accordance with its privacy policy. We’d like to keep in touch and let you know how your support is transforming the lives of disabled people. We’ll share more on our work, events and ways you can get involved. If you have supported us before we’ll continue to contact you in this way unless you tell us otherwise. Your data will not be shared with third parties.
8.Compliance with Law
All participants must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when undertaking fundraising activities. Shaftesbury reserves the right to refuse donations that it has reason to believe may have been raised in contravention of these Terms and Conditions.
9.Liability
Shaftesbury accepts no liability for loss or damage suffered by any participant as a result of taking part in the Grow5 Challenge, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
10.Changes to the Challenge
Shaftesbury reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions or to cancel the Grow5 Challenge at any time if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary to do so.
