What you helped us achieve in 2025

Impact Report 2025

2025 was a year of firsts for Shaftesbury; our first dementia and memory loss support service, a new in-house Learning Academy, the opening of our first retail outlet, a new contract to run a children’s respite centre, training courses co-produced by the people we support, an MBE for one of our students...

There’s a lot to tell you about!

You can read about these exciting developments in our 2025 Impact Report, available now in print or online.

Tangible impact

We’re proud to share the measurable progress made over the year and the personal insights that evidence how we’re making a difference to individual lives.

Find out how Lily’s life has been transformed through continuity of care, how Tara has been supported to cope with physical and psychological challenges following a stroke and how new therapeutic playground at Shaftesbury Victoria School has transformed outdoor learning for children with disabilities.

You’ll also read how our summer appeal raised over £35,000 for new technology for people like George at Shaftesbury New Court Place, who relies on speech generating devices for his college studies.

Recognition for our supporters

The Impact Report includes highlights from the last 12 months, showing just how much has been achieved in one year, thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

In recognition of their commitment, we brought supporters together for two key events last year. Guests were invited to Drapers’ Hall to join people we support for lunch, and to the Ragged School Museum for a private tour reflecting on the legacy of the 7th Earl of Shaftesbury.

Looking ahead

We’re confident there will be more firsts for us this year too, such as overnight short breaks for children and young people, and training courses for the people we support via our new in-house Learning Academy.

Expansion and growth are only possible with your continued support, so it would be great to hear your feedback on our 2025 Impact Report.
