Theresa served as an MP for 19 years. She held various positions in Government including sitting round the Cabinet table as Secretary of State, firstly for Northern Ireland and then for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

Her years in Parliament gave her a longstanding interest in social care and ensuring disabled children and adults receive the support they need to thrive.

She is currently involved academic work, teaching law. She lives in Barnet and enjoys hiking and running in her spare time.
