A chartered accountant by profession, John has been a finance director for the past 26 years in the banking, retail and, most recently, the education sector and has worked with both commercial and charitable organisations.

John retired from full-time employment in December 2019 and undertakes a number of non-executive and trustee roles.

John lives in Leeds, is married to Diane and has three children and four grandchildren.
